“BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE 2009:
ENTREPRENERUSHIP AND INNOVATION”
On the 13th -14th of November of
2009 BSC Zenica, together with University of Zenica has organized The second
International Conference "Business Development Conference 2009: Entrepreneruship
and Innovation".
There was around 150 representatives of governmental institutions and agencies
to promote entrepreneurship and private sector, NGOs and other relevant
institutions in BiH, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia. The guests
were also representatives of the 4 Business Start-Up Centers in the Region:
Bar, Bitola, Kragujevac and Kosovo, who also gathered in Zenica on this two-day
conference. The conference was opened by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands in BiH, Sweder van Voorst tot Voorst, who said: "The Kingdom
of the Netherlands supports the development of businesses in BiH through
various instruments, and one of them is a regional network of support through
the Business Start-up centers, one of which works in Zenica. Our work is
directed towards job creation and poverty reduction, to help BiH in the way of
inclusion in the European Union, and this set is one way to exchange
experiences in this field "
This year's conference, among other things, had a scientific
- research with the aim of character with the economic and scientific -
technological aspects to consider key developmental issues facing the sector of
small and medium enterprises and offer recommendations for their elimination
and the establishment of regional cooperation and exchange of best practice in
this area among the countries of the Balkans.
The conference consisted of two parts assigned to two working days:
- 13.11.2009. General session was open to all participants
- 14.11.2009. Academic session was scheduled for Authors (masters and doctors)
reported in the published call in the conference.
