DECLARED WINNERS OF THE PROJECT
BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION 2009, LAKTAISI
Agreement on Corporation on
the project "Business Plan Competitionand the introduction of quality
standards," which Municipality of Laktasi signed with the Dutch Foundation
SPARK B&H in September 2009 ensured the funds in the amount of 205.600 KM,
of which 180.600 KM to support the development of entrepreneurship and 25.000
KM to support the introduction of quality standards (ISO, HACCP, CE mark, OHSA)
in the municipality Laktasi. Funds of Spark’s participation were 85.40%, while Municipality of Laktasi participated
with 14.60% of assets. Involving in the competition,
participants could win a prize consisting of free registration / pre-registration
of companies, grant (voucher prize) in the amount of 2.500 EUR for the soft
costs of doing business and microcredit 10.000 KM with very favorable interest
rate. For all interested participants there
was public call training organized for the business plan writing, and all
participants who would like to submit a business plan ensured professional
consulting services of one of the six available consultants. 21 business plans was evaluated
from the side of professional and independent jury, which consisted of
representatives of the financial and economic life of Municipality of Laktasi,

International Conference
“BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE 2009:
ENTREPRENERUSHIP AND INNOVATION”
On the 13th -14th of November of
2009 BSC Zenica, together with University of Zenica has organized The second
International Conference "Business Development Conference 2009: Entrepreneruship
and Innovation".
There was around 150 representatives of governmental institutions and agencies
to promote entrepreneurship and private sector, NGOs and other relevant
institutions in BiH, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Slovenia. The guests
were also representatives of the 4 Business Start-Up Centers in the Region:
Bar, Bitola, Kragujevac and Kosovo, who also gathered in Zenica on this two-day
conference. The conference was opened by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the
Netherlands in BiH, Sweder van Voorst tot Voorst, who said: "The Kingdom
of the Netherlands supports the development of businesses in BiH through
various instruments, and one of them is a regional network of support through
the Business Start-up centers, one of which works in Zenica. Our work is
directed towards job creation and poverty reduction, to help BiH in the way of
inclusion in the European Union, and this set is one way to exchange
experiences in this field "
BSC ZENICA DEVELOPES BSC MONROVIA IN LIBERIA, AFRICA
BSC Zenica after three years of successful work entrusted
to a new project by SPARK Amsterdam. In the next period BSC Zenica will develop
BSC Monrovia in Liberia, in Africa, and have the honor to take the lead in the
implementation, establishment of procedures and coordination of project
implementation activities. Employees of BSC Zenica proved to be as responsible
in its operations have made remarkable results and thus affect the obtaining of
this project. For the purposes of project implementation in the coming period
BSC Zenica plans to enlist experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina. More

In the next period BSC Zenica will be paid to the development and strengthening
of sector
small and medium-sized enterprises in Liberia.
ZEPS 2009
BSC ZENICA RECEIVED AWARD FOR THE BEST PROMOTION OF ZEPS 2009
6th General BH Fair ZEPS tool place in Zenica between the
period of 6th and 11th of October, 2009. Business
Start-up Centre Zenica in corporation with other BSC’s from Kragujevac, Bar and
Bitola took a huge part of financing more than 20 companies at the Fair
involved in BSC project , as well as partner institutions. ZEPS gave awards to
several exhibitors in numerous categories.
ZEPS jury's unanimous decision was awarded a total of 18 peer recognition for
the product, a collection of products, promotion and recognition of the unique
performance that marked the Fair "Grand prix ZEPS - Rose." Promotion
is awarded Business Start-up Centre Network of South East Europe, AE security
Zenica and oil refinery Modrica.
Following
the initiative of establishment of the first Graphic Cluster in Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Business Start-up Centre (BSC) Zenica organized the first meeting
where are considered activities and potential possibilities for the Cluster
development. The meeting brought up an agreement of first actions regarding to
preparation of documentation needed for founding and promoting the Cluster and
its members. The following representatives of potential Cluster members
participated on the meeting: Printing House “Meligraf” Zenica, “BPanel” d.o.o.
Graphic design & publishing Zenica, “Artgraf” Promotion material manifacturing
Zenica, “Vizija Production” Audio – Video production Zenica, and the BSC Zenica
members.
